From all of us here at TenX, we want to wish our amazing community a Merry Christmas, happy holidays, and an epic new year.
We have many exciting updates planned for next year. Our ultimate goal at TenX is to reinvent payments, and with your continued support there is no doubt we can pull this off. Here’s a few things to look out for in 2018:
- Roll-out of cards to more countries around the world
- Arrival of Founders’ and Limited Edition cards
- Updates on the COMIT network
- Marketing — lots and lots of marketing
- Multiple new asset wallet integrations
- Many more unannounced features — we think you’ll LOVE the ideas we’ve been brewing up
To finish 2017 with a bang, we wanted to gift you all with something that we have been working long and hard on since before our token sale. As of today, we will begin to roll out Ethereum for all users!
This is a major update and milestone for us, and one that has been designed, developed, and tested more than once. As we’ve shown in the past, we believe security and stability are of utmost importance — especially with such a large-scale feature rollout. While it has taken longer than originally planned, we’re extremely proud of the work completed, and are confident in the stability of our platform even with the ridiculously high number of user registrations we’ve had over the past 6 months.
Ethereum will be rolled out in stages on a first-come, first-serve basis. Each day over the coming weeks, we will enable the ability for you to add an Ethereum wallet to your TenX account. You will be able to do so in the ‘My Wallets’ menu on the webapp, iOS and Android apps. The number of wallets being enabled per day will not be disclosed, but we expect everyone who wants a wallet to be able to enable one over the next few weeks. Note: to enable an Ethereum wallet on the Android app, you will need to update to version 3.0.0 or later. Additional note: Please do not send any ERC20 tokens such as PAY, etc to the wallet. This is not yet supported.
So we can closely monitor activity and ensure stability, for the first two weeks Ethereum withdrawals will be disabled. Please only deposit funds that you will be spending. This restriction is only on withdrawals — deposits and spending Ethereum with your card will function as expected.
With Bitcoin transaction fees at an all-time high, we’re sure this will be a welcome addition for everyone!
Alongside this long-awaited update, we will be releasing the first part of our UX overhaul for the Android and iOS apps. Version 3.0.0 of the Android app will be available to download within the next few hours, however iOS users will need to wait an additional 3–5 days due to Apple’s app review policy. Version 3.0.0 includes changes to many of the screens within the app, and the remaining ‘old’ screens will be updated over January/February. We’re sure these UI/UX changes will be appreciated by our frequent users — go take a look!
We understand that the best possible feedback we can receive is from our users. As such, we’re always welcoming of app feedback, whether it be a feature request or bug report. If you have a great idea, or find something that isn’t working quite as it should, please report it via our support desk here and select the appropriate drop-down. Who knows? Your idea might make it into our next version.
TenX again thanks every single one of our community and supporters. Please enjoy a safe holiday period, and let’s make next year TenX better than the last!
