The Brand Steering Committee have some updates to the Symbol Branding they’d like to share with you.
Once again we’d like to say Welcome XYM!
With overwhelming support,(91.05%) XYM is the ticker name for Symbol.
- Symbol Brand Guidelines and Visual Guide (English version) will be fully be available next week (First week in Feb). These guidelines will give a comprehensive overview of the following: font and typography, logo specification and usage, color palette, images (as well as image use specification), text and tone, visual examples to support each rule, asset usage (including trademark guidelines), overview of brand vision and personality, and more.
We had some slight delays with a few of the deliverables, but most are finished, and we’d love to give you a sneak peek below:
First up is our 3d rendered Connector Logo, which has the white and purple versions.
Next is the 3D rendered ‘Mesh’ featuring the Connector Logo perfect for backgrounds and accents:
The Colour Pallete, Typography, and Imagery give you the personality of the brand.
Finally, we have some print ad mockups that we believe are very strong and express who/what is Symbol to our target markets. Our tagline is: Powering Possibility.
- Symbol Brand Guidelines and Visual Guide (Localized versions) will be available by mid-February.
Many of you have asked about community usage around the trademark policy and while this will be specified in the final Guidelines, we did want to share that the trademarks will be open to our community but will also need to be followed so the brand is not misused, used to deceive or mislead others. More details will be forthcoming on this.
- New branding is being phased into marketing channels, development tools and guides, PR, and communications. In general, branding adoption can take up to 3+ months to fully implement once final assets are delivered.
- Lastly, the agency and legal teams have moved forward with remaining trademark filings in various regions.
